Poison Resistance or Recovery
Are there any plans to implement a poison resist stat? It can either decrease the chance of being poisoned, or decrease the rate of HP lost per second, or decrease the amount of time you're poisoned.
Or a flask stat that dispels poison? Similar to dispelling chill or burn. I'm currently building a marauder based on life regen, and the one thing that really kills is having multiple poison effects on me at once (the little green orbs that show you're poisoned). I believe that generally poison damage is dealt as chaos damage.
I *think* that if you have increased chaos resistance, you will take less poison damage. I am not completely sure though, and I also realize that "increasing your chaos resistance" is not as straightforward as the elemental resistances. |

I don't know if this thread is too old to bump up, but I was also wondering why there isn't a poison resist stat, or a bleed(puncture) resist for that matter either.

Because Chaos Resistance is very specialized in the game.
Also, I'm pretty sure puncture does physical damage over time, not chaos. TehHammer is not a crime!

Because unavoidable damage makes you feel really good.
People should not be always asking for 'cure' for every constrained situation they were in. "This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"

I'm pretty torn with the state of chaos damage right now. It's almost as prevalent as the other 'damage' types during act 2 and yet the only defence against it is a very specific keystone, a unique item or stacking a whole heckload of health and regeneration. On the one hand, it's nice to see damage that can't be resisted because it definitely keeps you awake. Nothing can end an unprepared character like 4 stacks of viper strike in the Church Dungeon. That first time, my goodness. It's humiliating how quickly the life globe empties itself. It's like watching a toilet flush your health away. But on the other hand, there is Chaos Innoculation. I recall reading once that chaos damage, since it bypasses Energy Shield, is meant to be the 'foil' to Energy Shield users. This would be universally true if not for the fact that GGG so very kindly threw dedicated Energy Shield users a keystone that plugs that hole perfectly. Needless to say, I'm not 100% on-board with this damage type yet, and I'm not 100% sure GGG are finished with it either. And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.

Melle Characters are having a real hard time staying alive in 0.9.10. Both Chaos and Puncture make for few colourful expletives.
