some maps trigger instant crashing on ps4

Aside from the constant game freeze and fps drops in the game even in towns (10-20 times per hour) some maps are completely unplayable like villa. as soon as I enter the map the fps drops to zero either kicking me out of the game or getting fixed after 10 seconds at which point I'm already dead. Doesn't matter if it's a crowded area in villa or not.


I know you are already aware of the fps drop and freeze crash for old consoles. but can you please give us an update about when we can expect this issue to be solved?

And in the meantime can you give us some ways to improve the fps before you fix it?

By the way I do a cache clear on ps4 every 30 mins by turning off the console and unplugging it for 1 min. It doesn't solve the issue at all. My internet is wired with 43 consistent ping. I've also disabled the bloom and screen shake options. Still no improvement.

I haven't noticed a repeatable instant freeze since the blight initiation crash the day before patch 3.15.3b, but I'm leveling a char at the moment. I will throw a villa into my map device after Kitava and let you know if I'm experiencing the same issue.

Try red tier maps. The frame drops and screen freeze get progressively worse the higher tier your maps get. I also didn't experience any freeze or frame drops during leveling up my character. Except for some rare random freezes in towns. Now I can't even get through one map without getting kicked out of the game or massive fps drops which leads to dying. Even in towns the screen freeze happens 2-3 times per hour now.

True, I don't touch delirium mirrors anymore at this point, can't kill or defend against what I can't see. For me though the hourly freeze -> crash can happen at any time, usually in the middle a pack or movement ability and I'm just left waiting. Happens to me in lab more often than not also, I've wasted probably 8 offerings this league to freezes.

Rubber banding is also another huge issue that gets worse evenly with the freezes.

exactly . By crashing I mean freeze then getting kicked out back to the log in menu. It doesn't give any blue screens or go to ps4 dash board for me neither.

I can't do heists no more. No delirium no blight no incursions. +12 tier maps are almost impossible to go through without freeze and zero fps drops. I've lost so much xp and loot cause of this issue. wanted to buy cosmetics but changed my mind cause it will worsen the performance even more. At this point I can't do any end game content at all. There is no point in playing poe right now until the issue is fixed. Got close to throwing my joy sticks at the tv a dozen of times cause of this!

Just crashed loading back into Ghetto from a Vaal side area, went to the main screen to force quit and my entire system locked up, took me several tries to get it back.



Edit - GGG, you win, I quit until it's fixed. Just had the third map of the day fail; in a game where "running maps" is the highlight and supposed endgame, and you can't run any maps. I'm addicted so I'll try the update but it's not worth the frustration as it is.
