Can someone explain why frenzy is good?
I have played two characters to Merciless so I have some experience and levelled my gem to about 10. However, every time I used it, it seemed far weaker than just using dual strike with faster attacks to begin with. Or cleave whichever. I tried mixing up attacks frenzy vs dual but it still seemed inferior to bother with frenzy.
On my shadow I wanted to use but the first hit always seems slow, then it takes like 5 hits to get where a faster attack gem will already put you. So something of a sacrifice for speed vs dps? I read some builds where it just says use frenzy without saying why. So what am I missing in this? The one thing I do know is that when I find those blue frenzy monkeys, they tear my shadow to pieces when they are charged but I always wondered how they are charged just sitting there not fighting anything. thanks for any clarification, I did search around. |

Frenzy is not that good for dual wielding its DPS is great when you have full frenzy charges and you go a frenzy charge build (up to 7 charges)
At level 20 frenzy you can get up to 12% Physical damage increase per charge, should be 12x7 max frenzy charges totaling 84% physical damage increase with frenzy, this with the attack speed per frenzy charge makes it a formidable skill coupled with the fact it does 110% base attack damage to begin with. |

Frenzy is best paired with a large number of Frenzy Charges. Each charge grants an automatic 5% increased attack and cast speed bonus, but Frenzy gets stronger for every charge you have. At max level (without quality), you're gaining 11% increased attack speed per frenzy charge on top of the 5% each you already get: with 7 (max) charges, you get 112% increased attack speed from the skill alone, not to mention a ton of extra physical damage. (12% per charge, iirc)

I use Frenzy to boost the damage for LA. It's really easy to maintain and I can swap to elemental hit if I need a better single target skill.

Ok maybe I don't understand where else you get frenzy charges besides the skill.
I'm looking at the wiki and I must be slow. For dual wield trying to hit with frenzy skill means much less dps since it alternates hands. I did try with faster attacks before but it is still just one hand so I lose out on damage. I'd understand if I could just have a bunch of charges without having to hit for them. That would be nice I think. I think Blood Rage gives charges maybe but my guy dual wields so he wouldn't strike using frenzy skill either. I still thing those blue monkeys cheat, why are they charged up just standing around? Dernière édition par raziekeljr#3483, le 5 avr. 2013 à 11:39:16

"Passive Skill tree Certain nodes increase the number of charges, others increase duration before the charges fall off. |

You can run blood rage as well and gain a frenzy charge everytime you kill something, then you dont need to attack with frenzy. Make sure you have good regen/life leech/life on hit because blood rage does chaos damage to you consistently.
Hey...is this thing on? Dernière édition par LostForm#2813, le 5 avr. 2013 à 11:51:50

When new gems come in it can potentially be good.
However its manacost is pretty high so a 5/6l frenzy will drain ya! ign KlearSpeed
