The game wont start it just days error, the d3d device has a non zero count, objects were not relased.

then said, failed resetting direct 3d device obects

then, DXUT create device failed

It sounds like something is trying to constantly use your video card and when PoE loads up your video card doesn't like it due to it still trying to render something. I would say try to update your video card first. Should that not work, check your background processes to see if anything would be using your video card. From what I read about this error, some video cards don't like it when you have an active screensaver. Outside of that, I'm not sure what else could be causing it.

What video card are you using?

This error is apparently a closing error, after the reason it closed has passed, it can't release all the resources.

At least I think that's what's happening... the last few threads with this error were caused by the video card not supporting pixel shader 3.0.
