The Ship's Graveyard is causing me some grief

So first of all, this is a very solid game. I've been having a great time up until this point; every time I attempt to enter the ship's graveyard, my game freezes and I hear a little 'ding'. Upon minimizing PoE, I find a little pop-up window that says 'Exception'. Anyone know what's going on? I tried reinstalling on the off-chance that one of my files was corrupt for whatever reason, but to no avail. I'd really like to be able to play the rest of this game.

Right, of course. Here are my system specs:
OS: Windows Vista 32 bit Processor: Intel Core 2 CPU, 6600 @ 2.40GHz Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 7900 GS Ram: about 2k mb Concerning that screenshot you requested, I don't think that will be necessary. I'll describe what I encounter... I clear the Prisoner's Gate and approach the entrance to The Ship's Graveyard. I click on it to create an instance and enter, then I'm brought to the loading screen. After 30 seconds or so my cursor will give that 'loading' indicator and I'll hear a little beep, indicating that I got an error pop-up in the background. I ctrl+alt+delete, seeing as it won't let me alt+tab due to the program being unresponsive, and then I see a little pop-up that says 'Exception'. Another little quirk is that after I end the PoE process, my desktop background gets blanked out, lol. This is all ungodly frustrating and I hope that someone can help me with this. I ran PackCheck.exe, and I don't believe it found any errors. After double-clicking on the app's icon while it was in my Path of Exile folder within Program Files, what looks like a DoS window or something comes up for a second and then disappears. tyvm once more. |

sounds like a system error, perhaps not enough ram to cope, vista needs alot of ram itself have you tried getting a party that has the sgraveyard waypoint and teleporting in?

I have tried that. I can go into the caverns of anger/woe, but the ship's graveyard and the level it connects to are inaccessible to me.

" Just double-clicking it won't run PackCheck properly, unfortunately. You need to run it via a command prompt. Go re-read the instructions on the PackCheck thread for details on how to do this. Code warrior

i am having this same problem, i played closed beta and have never had trouble with it, and in the OB i have already got past the ship graveyard in normal difficulty, only now in cruel it decides to do this

This latest patch seems to have made poe very ram hungry, try closing anything you dont absolutely need to be running and adding -gc 2 to the path of exile shortcut. Those two things should help reduce the amount of crashing youll get. Also, if you just hammer away at it, itll eventually load. Im currently installing 64bit windows so I dont have to deal with the constant crashing.

I can try it as often as I want to..
My client keeps crashing, even with low settings or closing anything in the background. It would be nice if someone has some advice. Cuz all those people ingame wont help with dat waypoint thingie. I appreciate any other solution wich helps to eliminate dat problem! |
