GGG's stance on Multiboxing?

So I was wondering what GGG's stance will be/is on multiboxing in PoE (well technically multi-instancing). I think I can safely assume that botting will be bannable (which I have no where near the knowledge to be able to do nor do I want to). I also wonder if the stance would be different depending on whether or not it would be used in PvP, if I only use it in PvM it really cannot hurt anyone.

Edit: Also sorry if this has been posted before, I tried searching for it and could not find anything.

I recently discussed in an alpha thread about how multiboxing can disrupt cut-throat play. I'm hoping to convince them to make some changes to the mechanics of cut-throat to minimize the problems that can be caused.

I don't think that multiboxing should be a problem... the solutions to avoid issues should be part of the game.

Ouchies, just thought of getting rolled by 5rangers + a frost witch on 1 hotkey
Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat Server Test, and Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat League Event!
Normally I'd be totally against that but I don't think being owned by a bunch of bots would do your catastrophically inflated ego one bit of harm, NS. :P
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
I think the most common scenario would be a some class with high HP/SP just to use auras and on autofollow.
Should be bannable.
Multiboxing isn't in the spirit of the game. You should be partying with other people and not just running the entire party yourself. Of course, running Chaos leeches isn't in the spirit of the game either but we all see how that goes.

As far as I'm aware, there's no way for GGG to tell the difference between someone multiboxing and a group of friends playing together through the same router.

There would be absolutely not bots involved. Each character would be controlled by me, I press a button and a single reaction per instance would result, or depending on how complicated I wanted to make it, each button press would only make one action in one instance, this would be a lot harder to do successfully in game though.

I am not exactly sure what you mean by it's not in the spirit of the game. I would still play normal characters with my friends some times, I would just also have this additional thing to do if I get bored. The reason I would be multiboxing would be because I enjoy the challenge of writing the scripts and trying to make sure I can do everything in game, not to get an advantage over other people etc.

GGG may or may not have a way right now to know if people are multiboxing, but if they wanted too they could. I also do not want to do it if GGG does not want it in their game.

It's cheating.
I don't think it should be considered cheating to want to increase the difficulty and drop chances of an area simply by having idler's there.

Yes if they are all in use thats a different story, its a fine line.
