Intro:
----------

What we have here is double trigger Discharge build, where Discharge is being fired at 7-7.5 times per sec via Cospri's Malice and Arc / Ball Lightning being triggered at the same rate by Cast on Crit (aka CoC) support gem. Combined we have up to 7.5 casts per sec of both spells at the same time for a total of 15 casts/s.

Build highlights:
--------------------

In short:
+ Excelent clear speed
+ Good single target aka Boss dmg (currently at 1.2mil sustained Shaper DPS)
+ Fun to play
+ Great mobility (this thing is FAST)
+ Tanky enough

Detailed:
+ 180k per Discharge x7 trigger/s + 65k per Arc/BL x7 triggers/s = 1715k DPS or up to 1.7mil vs Shaper
+ 78%/78%/79% maximum resistances
+ 74% chance to block attack damage with 50% damage reduction
+ Fortify
+ ~6k ES pool
+ ~2k total Energy Shield recovery per sec (~1.5k from leech and 0.5k from regen)
+ up to 167% increased movement speed (yep, no typo here)
+ chaos damage and poison damage immunity
+ bleed and corrupted blood immunity
+ stun immunity
+ up to 43% physical damage reduction while Cycloning in place (33% otherwise) unflasked (58% flasked)
+ 5 endurance charges for longer immortal calls

Stats screenshots:
----------------------------

in-game Discharge tooltip (@5/5 charges):
Spoiler

This is in-game tooltip - it does not account for several things such as:

+ lowering target's elemental resistances via Elemental Equilibrium (50%), Penetration (2% passive skill tree + 15% Wise Oak) for a total of -67% or a dmg multiplier of 1.17 (vs Shaper/Guardian)
+ Assassin's Mark curse
+ Opportunistic (25% more dmg vs single target)
+ +100% critical strike chance while enemy is on Consecrated Ground
+ +8% increased dmg taken for enemies on Consecrated Ground via Watcher's Eye

Must have items:
-----------------------

Note: Corruption on Shaper's Touch is optional but good to have.

The combo of:
The Red Trails + Apep's Supremacy + The Golden Rule + Chance to bleed support gem + Militant Fate (Dominus version) together with Chaos Inoculation Keystone and 10% chance to poison on hit with spells passive skill node is used for:

+ Power Charges on hit generation: each single spell or melee hit = +1 Power Charge (doesnt matter if it crits or not)
+ Bleed and corrupting blood immunity
+ Chaos damage and poison immunity
+ +3% to all maximum resistances

More info on how it works:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67r1ILkeZ3c

Recommended items:
-------------------------

Energy from Within must be socketed near Shadow for nice ES boost.
Watcher's Eye must have increased energy shield recovery rate while affected by Discipline rest is not that needed. That said "+ES on hit Watcher's Eye will be as good (if not better if you combine it with Ball Lightning instead of Arc).
You can use rare belt with at least 14% Cooldown Recovery - its enough to hit a trigger limit of 7.5 times per second. However with The Flow Unthethered you gain "by default" "increased energy shield recovery rate" (can also roll as suffix on rare belts) which multiplies all sources of ES leech and regen. More than that The Flow Unthethered is a lot of fun with increased action time!
30% enchant on helmet might be expensive but it is well worth it. Accuracy roll on helmet is optional but good to have.
Atziri's Splendour ES edition because it has decent ES, all res and its easy to color. However a nice rare Vaal Regalia will be a better option.

Example gear with gems:
----------------------------

Spoiler

You need dex and +ES on your rare ring. Remember that strength is also energy shield via Shaper's Touch.

Note on rare ring: If you can res cap without implicits, it is best to use Diamond ring.

Ball Lightning vs Arc as secound spell for Discharge:
-------------------------------------------------------------

Vs single target its (at least on paper) same DPS as Arc if we assume that each BL can hit the same target 3 times before moving out of range.

That said - if it does - it generates +3 Power Charges to EACH Discharge. This is HUGE. Not only for Discharge damage but also for that +2% to base crit chance to EVERYTHING (when staying at max Power Charges) from Deadly Infusion, meaning capped crit for Discharge, capped crit for Arc but most important: capped crit for Cyclone. This, when combined with 98% accuracy, means 96% trigger chance for both Arc and Discharge like ALL the time.

As Ball Ligtning does not deliver high dmg per hit (it hits frequently for lower amounts of dmg) it wont apply shock as often as Arc does, especialy to bosses with higher hp pool.

Now, our Discharge can reach up to 115k dmg on lightning part alone vs Shaper/Guardian. Especially when we consider it will go off with full power charges like 95% of the time, having capped crit chance. This way we can drop Elemental Focus and use Increased Critical Damage support instead. DPS ona paper will be slightly lower BUT according to my calculations shock status we apply this way will add another 10% more damage to Shaper/Guardian, rendering this setup as overall better than with Elemental Focus. It will be even more powerfull vs regular map Bosses.

All in all Ball Lightning is MUCH better vs single target while Arc is better for clear speed.

EDIT 2020-07-25: If you combine Arc with PCoC (power charge on critical) it will be also good vs single target as PCoC will grant 50%+ chance to gain additional power charge for both Arc and Cyclone. So I recommend you test both setups and decide what works best for you.

Ball Lightning math for nerds:
Spoiler

1) Ball Lightning travel speed is 48 units/s (before any proj speed/slow).
2) Ball Lightning damage radius is 22 units (before any AoE inc/dec).
3) Ball lightning from one cast/trigger can hit same target every 150ms.
4) We can have one Ball Lightning for one Discharge (same proc rate).

Time to travel from 0 to 22 units is 22/48 of a second or 458ms.
During that time Ball Lightning can hit same target up to 3 times as 458/150 = 3.05.

Ascendancy order:
-------------------------

Normal Lab: Unstable Infusion

Cruel Lab: Deadly Infusion

Merci Lab: Mistwalker

Uber Lab: Opportunistic

Auras setup:
-----------------------

This build runs: Zealotry + Precision + Discipline

Precision grants global critical strike chance and accuracy.
Discipline ES.
Zealotry more spell dmg, critical strike chance for spells and Consecrated Ground. Consecrated Ground adds additional 100% critical strike chance for enemies affected by it and tons of life regen for us. With Zealot's Oath keystone that life regen becomes ES regen.

How to lvl?
-------------------

+ Best is to lvl as Cyclone - Cast on crit - Inc Crit Strikes - Arc and/or Blade Vortex. Use high base crit daggers (8.5+) with decent aps (1.6+). You may also consider:

as lvling item if you have accuracy problems at lower lvls.

+ Dont switch CI untill you have most of the gear. Play as hybrid life and ES untill then. "X% of spell damage leeched as Energy Shield" from the passive skill tree will help you with that.

Lvling trees:
---------------

begining

low lvl

medium lvl

hybrid life/es cast on crit (like Cyclone + FA + CoC + Inc Crit + Arc)

Now if u dont have required gear or you want to start mapping earlieryou can try to do low lvl maps with Cospri's + Volls Protector + Volls Devotion using this kind of three:

CI switch with Cospri's + Volls Protector + Volls Devotion

However your ES will be extremely low at this point.

Now if u have all the gear:

CI switch with Cospri's, Red Trails, Golden Rule, Apep's Supremacy, Volls Devo, Shaper's Touch, Militiant Faith (Dominus version) and at least 5l ES chest

In either case you should now use Discharge + Conc Eff + Ele focus in Cospri's and Arc or BL in 5l chest: Cyclone + Inc Crit chance + CoC + Arc/BL + Chance to bleed (if u have Apep's Supremacy, The Golden Rule, Volls Devo and The Red Trails) or + Fortify (if you will be running Volls Protector + Volls Devotion).

From now on grab a bit more ES nodes and all the spell crit nodes, +1 Power Charge, Zealot's Oath as soon as you start using Zealotry.

Here's a final tree that you're aiming for

Bandits:
----------------

Alira. You NEED mana regen. All res and crit multi is nice to.

Pantheon:
--------------

I use Lunaris and Gruthkul but its up to you.

Notes on defence:
------------------------

This build has a good survivability despite having only about 6k ES. Thats because of Glancing Blows keystone which allows for 74% chance to block with little points investment. Yes it wont block all the damage but look at this as 50% dmg reduction that works 74% of the time. Combine that with Foritfy, decent ES recovery and high DMG and viola - facetanking T16 Mino at little over 5k es is possible as shown in one of the vids. At the same time we take advantage of Arcane Swiftness keystone that translates our 74% chance to block into 70% spell dmg increase at the same time. What a World we live in...what a World...;)

Regarding spells we have 78%/78%/79% maximum resistances, Fortify and 16% spell block.

Elusive (which you will have all the time with this build) will grant another 8% dmg reduction.

Note: all life regen counts towards ES with Zealot's Oath.

Notes on mana sustain:
---------------------------

For sustaining 6l Cyclone AND spaming Vortex you need at least 40 mana regen/s. To walk around this you have to craft "channeling skills have -3 to total mana cost". This is a prefix and its far better than 2 or even 4 mana regen.

Your Cyclone will cost 1 mana with that.

Why not go Mjolner?
------------------------------

+ With Cospri's you gain attack speed, base crit chance and 1 passive skill point.
+ Switching back and forth between Cospri's and Mjolner requires like 2 points of respec (str->dex), belt change (+str, 14%+ CDR) and both ring change (str->dex) so you will loose Precursor's bonus.
+ With Cospri's Faster Attack gem can be dropped from main 6L (Cyclone) and Chance to bleed used instead. With Mjolner you need attack speed corruption on it.
+ Cospri's will add cold damage to attacks and spells - this saves you a ring prefix and provides shattering with Arc!
+ With Cospri's and The Flow Unthethered belt clear speed is nothing but spectacular - a lot of fun to play! (check the video section on how this toon performs).
+ Loki is not worthy

Build looks cool. I love discharge builds and play at least one every league since the glory days of discharge (Rainbownuke and fakener).

Love your builds and your dedication towards the discharge cause.

Back on Topic: What amulet annoint would you suggest?
Guessing an additional enurange Charge?

(Need to watch the video later could only read the written guide atm)

+1 endurance charge if you dont have +1 endurance corruption on Inyas, +1 power charge otherwise (if possible). However when @lvl 96 (or higher) theres an option to go for 6th power charge in the passive tree. In that case with +1 Inyas and +1 endurance from Volls Neck one can achieve 6/6 charges.

EDIT: Added Cospri's Malice version to the guide :)

couple things I've noticed while running this build, im not too far in it but I will say that you do NOT need a low level clarity. I have Arcane Will, and

A simple craft that adds 2 mana per second to regeneration. I've not run into any mana issues thus far.

This build is extremely passive point hungry. I am only level 77, but I have noticed that to get a lot of the remainder ES nodes you need to be at least in the 80's (or you could prioritize ES over other build enabling keystones).

It's pretty rough leveling this build and running maps with 3.5k ES. It is possible but you will easily get nuked pretty quickly, lots of stuff will one shot you. I've been contemplating adding an enlighten 4 to try and run blood and sand for the blind and damage reduction, but not sure I can fit that in with the other auras that we also run (which are kinda also mandatory).

My character still has a lot of things it still needs, mostly skill points(and gems), and shaper touch gloves with the attack crit change, but really the struggle isnt with the dps at this point, i am getting easily one shot.

I managed to pick this up

this gives you 10% spell block which is really nice. Wasn't entirely cheap though and cost 10ex.

Oh yes, it is passive points hungry. I suggest to go 75% block with Glancing Blows ASAP. This ads TONS of survivability. Sacrifice dps at this point. Your feedback while lvling this toon will be very valuable.

About mana sustain: yes I realized that, there were some minor updates to the guide, one of them included -mana cost on rings.

Take care I hope you reach higher lvls soon!

i pretty much zerged that side of the tree while I was leveling and was one of the first things I picked up, However, the build is still very susceptible to physical hits, since the armor on this build is basically nothing. at my current ES, blocking 50% of the damage at 75% of the time is still a 1 shot lol. I'm hoping more passives into ES nodes further down the line will help me somewhat just tank them. Either way, its still mows through pretty much all yellow maps, Having issues on red bosses but that should change soon maybe. I might also suggest using a stibnite flask for bossing, as it just adds another defensive layer(blind) for heavy physical bosses(izaro).

My ES leech is also pretty lacklucker, but that might just be the result of not having level 21 or 20 gems yet.

I've decided to annoint Arcane Guarding onto my amulet for more spell block and more ES(and some more spell dmg). I think maybe once I level up a bit more maybe ill switch it out for endurance or power charge depending on my corruption situation. But I think, spells will be a very big problem for this build down the line. We should try to 75/75 attack AND spell block imo. Pretty challenging, as you have said in your video (building for discharge)

I really doubt you'll even need those rings as well you can easily craft the 2 mana regen on two rings and get a similar result from arcane potency and then refund it maybe, but i suppose if you want to save 2 skill points and not worry about that then probably doing what you suggest is the best route! :)

Anyway I loved the jugg version in 3.7 as I played that a long while ago, and wanted to give this build a shot as you put plenty of time and effort trying to make the best discharge builds! Thanks.

@Jkurs so how things are going? Me, Im running various T12-T16 maps with alch&go method and so far so good. I ripped twice at T11 Veritania, she was the only threat I encountered so far (Im not familiar with her mechanics). Rest of map bosses and Elderslayers done deathless so far.

Check this double T15 Doedre fight @just 4.8k ES for example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfaUGKOdD5w

It looks close vs spell burst dmg (totems) but ES sustain is more than enough.

However the idea to go 75% spell block as well is something I will consider.

In about 20 more maps I should hit lvl 94.

Edit: My today's little upgrade:)

After watching your vids I noticed that you were running cospris malice instead of mjolner, as you mentioned there are two variations of the build(one with mjolner and one with cospris). I took note and started swapping over to cospris to see if it would be dramatically different or not.

My thoughts on cospris versus mjolner:

- Incredibly easier to get high attack speed to proc discharge/arc much more often.
- The flow Untethered + watchers eye energy shield recovery rate tremendously increases your ES leech. It's very very noticeable the difference in the rate at which you recover ES. This leads me to speculate that if you go mjolner you should probably aim for a belt that has that affix(might be rather expensive since you also need Strength AND cooldown).
- Harbinger of time minion grants us a lot of speed increases!
- Cospris adds cold to spells, which enables us to shatter monsters that have on death triggers(quill beasts).
- Fortify is linked in your chest, which gives you an easier method to apply rather than shield charging into a pack-- the uptime is easier to maintain(especially in bosses).
- coloring your chest with the right colors is easier, as you dont need 3 green-- Harvest crafts make this a bit easier, but looking forward we dont know if harvest will stick around and getting 3 green on the chest might prove more difficult.

These reasons have altered my thoughts on the progression of the build. I would say that cospris is easier to start out with over mjolner and there are much better benefits running cospris over mjolner early on. The difference is vast, and Im not even sure I'd recommend the mjolner version until you are rich enough to afford the required pieces to make it feel "decent"

Agreed. Cospris with The Flow Unthethered is a lot of fun. I did some math and it seems that dmg is not to far behind Mjolner, in fact if you consider chilled enemies it is almost equal on Diacharge part and slightly better on Arc part. All in all if you consider crit chances, aps, accuracy and average number of charges being generated - my Discharge calculator shows up to 2.15mil Shaper DPS with Mjolner and up to 2.3mil with Cospri's Malice. I need to do a DPS check in-game with Cospri's... With Mjolner I have been running:

One issue while using The Flow Unthethered is rather low ES.
