My EX is gone

I'm playing POE hours a day, every day. And today I got an Exalted Orb. I put it in the chest and kept playing. After a while I went to save some more resources in the chest, and realized that the EX is gone. How is this possible??? Days playing to drop a single lending feature, and it disappears.
