Change my E-Mail

I have only played PoE on steam, so I made a standalone account and tried to merge them but it tells me it is already merged with another account and if I change all my character and stuff will be deleted

So I went in and pressed the change e-mail and changed it to the e-mail I have on the standalone account but it won't work, when I press the link I get it only says
