The Void
Got The Void card from a safehouse, and after looking it up on the wiki I'm not really sure what it does, or if I'm better off selling it. What exactly does it do? Can I get utter crap from it, or is it likely to be a good card?

The Void can give you anything another divination card can give you. Thereotically you could get a mirror or a headhunter with it. But the chances are weighted.
Expect 40 wisdoms scrolls, when you trade that in. |

" Thanks. The latter is what I feared. We'll see... Probably best to sell it, but you never know. Which incidentally is why people buy the gambling boxes :-/ |

When you play this game enough you will realize that the natural gambling opportunities the game presents you with are worth it not just for the value but also to save time. Maybe on your super poor early league characters you will want to sell your first void, but eventually you will just pop them in without thinking and sometimes celebrate the results and other times not give even the slightest shit.
I have turned in probably 30 voids just this league. I don't buy them, whether to gamble or flip, I just pick them up and turn them in. As a matter of course. |

" Yikes, kinda shocked at hearing you've found 30 of these things in a single league. I'd never seen the thing before, after three leagues. Had to look up what it did (the wiki wasn't terribly informative, but it gave a hint). Anywho... I turned it in. And it spat out a Sacrifice of Dawn. Thanks LOL. But if absolutely everything can come out, even fragments, with no weighting towards more sought-after goods, the vast majority will of course be rather "meh". Not hurting for chaos, though, so worth a shot. |

" It can give any reward of any div card set. But of course this is weighted, you would be naive to think a headhunter is as likely to come out of this as a corrupted pacifism, a 5L staff or a single chaos orb. All of PoE's content, from drops to itemization, is based on playing a lottery. An efficient player only looks at the better lotteries, ignoring the bottom tier, which means he is spinning the wheel more often than you and/or playing at higher stake tables. But he is still playing the casino. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519
