Kitava Act 10 first try (HC) - tips?
Hello everyone,
After discovering PoE a bit over a month ago and falling in love with this game (I like it just as much as I used to like D2 LoD back in the days), I'm finally nearing the final boss of the story. It took me a while for 2 reasons. First, because I discovered the game while playing HC, which isn't the best trial and error mode. I ripped 3 or 4 times. Second, I leveled different builds up to 50 / 60 ish to get familiar with the gameplay and improve my understanding of PoE, and also to find what I like playing the most. Anyway, cutting to the chase: I really don't wanna die to Kita act 10 like I've died to Kita act 5 being unprepared. FYI, I play in duo with my bro. So 2 of us. Our mains are Trickster BV, and Zombiemancer. Let's just say that it has been a winning combo so far... And we want to keep going and finally taste the end game content like the big boys. How do we prepare ourselves best to ace this fight? We have watched some videos and are generally aware of his mechanics, but what's your take on: - Minimum recommended level? - Minimum recommended life / es? - Required DPS to make it a short fight? Any tips appreciated. thanks! Dernier bump le 3 janv. 2019 à 14:37:13

Make sure to do your ascendancy first. You'll lose 30 resist across the board, after completing Kitava.
The fight is pretty much the same as act 5. Don't stand in bad, dodge shadows from the heart, focus heart when it's up. All the way left or right are good targets for movement skills, when he's raking the ground. Basalt or Granite flasks are good. The summoner might concider running Desecrate to be able to replace dead zombies. Where there's one they're bound to divide it right in two.

Hi,
the best way is getting practice on sc. The most dangerous attacks are probably X-blast and burning ground (use pantheon for that). Keep portal opened to escape if necessary. I would recommend 4.5k-5k life* (or combined life/mana for MoM build) and having some extra mitigation. I usually have enfeeble and basalt flask and movement skill linked with fortify (unless playing wand build). Finish the 3th labyrinth to get more power. Having Decoy totem is fine to distract enemies (linked with totem/minion resistance gem). Having QS flask / movement skill is needed. Level is not so important if you have good damage / ehp but I usually have ~ 75 level bcos farming Blood A (or act 10). Your resistances will be punished by 30% after defeating the Kitava. * If you are skilled enough you can have lower stats but for rather new players more is better.
