RX 590 getting unusually hot

R5 1600x
16gb DDR4
250gb Samsung EVO 850
Red Devil RX 590 8GB DDR5 driver 18.11.2

I recently bought a Red Devil RX 590 and noticed while I play this game that it gets really loud and hot. This game shouldn't be much of a hassle for this card.... still it works its ass off and reaches temps around 75-79c which ramps up the fancurve like crazy.

While playing Battlefield V for example this is not happening; that it is getting this hot and loud.
Even other games like The Surge (just for example) won't do this to my card.

I wonder if this is a known issue with AMD cards running PoE or if there is a setting or something I could try.

Thanks for all the help i can get. It is getting really annoying playing this game now (which i've really fallen in love with these past few weeks).

Hey Dude, was thinking the exact same thing, I too bought a Red Devil 590 and it's also getting hot.

My solution was to use the PoE profile in the WattMan tool within the Radeon driver software. When you have found PoE in WattMan go to Chill(FPS) and turn it on then set Min and max values to your desired number (My min is 70 and max 240 - my native refresh rate) and then manually set the fan speed in MSI Afterburner to like 50% which is much more pleasant. Hope this helps :)

TLDR - Go to Wattman and turn on Chill(FPS) for PoE and then use Afterburner for fan speed.
