Experiences
Hi everyone!
I'm curious if someone use gtx 1050 ti, i want to hear some personal experiences about that how running PoE with gtx 1050 ti. I want to buy budget PC for only PoE with gtx 1050 Ti and I3-8100. If someone have similar config just write down how running PoE. (sorry if have mistake in text my english is not perfect) Dernier bump le 23 juil. 2018 à 13:00:30

A 1050 ti is more than enough to run this game at max settings.
Though be sure you have a decent processor as the game does use a good chunk of processing power on top of graphics. An I3-8100 is a single core processor I believe. It would be better to shell out alittle more for an I5 or I7. (Also get an solid state drive for quick load times, this alone would improve your experience with the game a ton.) |

It depends what build you play and what FPS you expect to have.
If you want 60 fps gameplay with drops to 30-40 in intense situations with a build that does not create execssive visual clutter, the 1050ti should be sufficient. IGN: Arlianth

With my old graphic card(AMD R7 200) sometime i had 1-2 fps in town or in intense situations.(so game was unplayable) If i get 30-40 fps in the worst case I will be happy. I play many varieties build, and i planning to try some cast on crit build if graphic card can handle. (i mean gtx 1050 ti)

" More or less what I experience. I've been using a 1050ti since the visual upgrade of Fall of Oriath. Haven't had any crazy stutters or freezes, but I also don't do builds that have ton of graphical effects. |

" Depending on which R7 200 you had, it sounds like you're upgrading video quite a bit so while you may get an occasional stutter, it should prove to be a lot better than before. Yep, totally over league play.

I was gifted a 1060 AMP! edition video card last Christmas. Prior to the gift I had an AMD R270 gpu. The AMD GPU would not allow me to play any breaches, the fps always crashed down to 5 or 6 fps. With the 1060 AMP I can play all breaches very smoothly. Same for abysses I find in Incursion League. Temple incursions never stutter or freeze regardless of mob quantity.
I also agree that you should find an Intel i5 or i7 cpu and not use an i3. I have an older Intel Haswell socket 1156 in my Gigabyte motherboard and originally it had a 3.2 GHz dual core cpu but for $78 USD I got an Intel i7 870 cpu (4 core, 8 threads). While it only clocks at 2.93 GHz stock speed I have a huge dual fan cpu cooler that let me oc to 3.5 GHz stable. That speed on 8 GB DDR3-1600 ram (2 x 4GB) and Windows 7 Pro without the performance robbing Meltdown and Spectre OS patches allows PoE to play very well on my Internet link that averages 50 ms to the WDC realm. Absolutely definitely get off AMD and switch to Nvidia gpu. The 1050ti GPU should play PoE well. PoE sucks on AMD in any graphics intensive action. Don't know why GGG can't get better AMD GPU optimization but they haven't and probably never will. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

Then give me advice which processor should good for PoE. But for same price to i3-8100. I have no more money for processor, and i did not find better than i3-8100. I dont really want to use AMD processor.

" with processors it's not only the numbers but also the date of production. newer i5 tend to outpace older i7. another important factor is the resolution you aim at. for everything below 1920*1080 your graphics card is overpowered, for everything above your i3 processor is likely too slow. in every case a newer i5 should be enough to feed your fast graphics card and not making you cpu bound. offline

" This isn't true, and you need to stop parroting it based on your anecdotal sample size of one. You upgraded to a newer, more powerful video card. Your performance improved.
