Does anyone know how the Elder vanishing after X amount of maps work?

Does it only have a chance to vanish if you do an elder/shaper influence map?

But there are players running maps needed. Not sure mapping is a thing this league so far, no one doing maps ,)

He vanishes for me, after doing a non influenced map. I'm sure, 100%.

I killed 2 of his guardians, the lightning guy stomped me, the Elder and last guardian disappeared.I don't think much of this new mechanic. Obviously on a Standard character.

they usually disappear after 20 maps...never even bothered the elder presence is at the bottom right of the atlas.

So lemme get this straight, once you spawn elder you can do the same map as much as you want as long as it has influence on it? Or you are limited to 20 maps.

Will elder disappear automatically or will there be warning?

Oh, no! This forum post indeed exist.

And sad to say, I lost all my untouched elder guardians and guardians in my Atlas!!!
Somebody said it will disappear after +20-ish map runs without finishing elder.


To GGG,

Please put warning when it is near to disappearing the elder guardians and elder.
I put so much time containing the elder to spawn on red map, now all gone.
If the limit exist, please let us (the players) know if elder guardians and elder are about to disappear.

Ex.
Elder will disappear from Atlas after running 10 maps.
(warning message repeats later)



Now, I lost the like to play POE.
Will get back to playing POE once they put warning message in this case.

It randomly occurs between 15-20 maps of not running any with an Elder guardian or the Elder himself on it. It does not matter if you're running influenced maps or not. It's designed in such a fashion that you can reset influence if you don't have the required maps / cannot finish the job and prevents Elder rings from happening. I'm fine with this sort of thing, even if it means I couldn't get my 15/15 Shaper memory fragments yet and am still at 14/15. :)
