An orb to store Lab's enchants

I beleave that current situation, where you just enchant most popular bases to not waste them, is not very comfortable.

I'll explain it in my personal example.

I want specific enchant - + Tempest shield chains. There are some helmets with this enchant, but none i need for my build.

I have helmet with exact needed stats, but i can't hit for this enchant for myself because of random.

And in that case i'm in situation that there is no way i can get my enchant.

There is an option to craft, but i don't have that much currency and it can all end in getting nothing.

So an idea came to my mind - what if there was an orb that would store lab enchants, like sealed prophecies? I think it would be way more comfortable for sellers and buyers.

I think this is an excellent idea, very useful. Call it Izaro's Orb, which you can enchant. Might need some restrictions to prevent overproduction of very powerful mods sold to players who cannot do uber lab.

Instead of selling it for chaos orb like Einhar, make it quite rare and only droppable in lab.

Free bump.

lab enchants would lose their worth with such an orb.

edit: could be exclusively sold by vorici for an exalt but that's likely not what you had in mind.

You're suggesting... for less RNG to be involved in PoE?

HERESY! HERESY!! GRAB YOUR PITCHFORKS, IT'S TIME TO BURN SOME WITCHES!!!
Great suggestion! It could be implemented in a way to not trivialize enchantments, esp the uber ones, but ease the grind to get the desired one on your piece of gear (helm I'm looking at you!).
...maybe 2 diff orbs, one for norm/cruel/merc and one for uber lab?

I have never - NEVER - gotten an enchant that corresponds to a build I am working on.

Your suggestion would certainly make that easier.

However, the power content in most enchants is such that, if this was implemented, GGG would gut the enchants. 40% increased effect of Anger? Now it will be 20%. Etc.

The power level is based on the rarity so if you want this cake, to eat it you will have to accept the nerfs.

So the question is - are you willing to accept a curtailment of the power of the enchant in exchange for easier acquisition?

Why do you assume GGG will halve the power of the enchants? Noone would run lab then for simple reward/risk+time ratio.

I believe there is a way to make the enchants not lose their value. Besides, we already have an "orb" in ilvl84+ Royal Burgonet. It would just make it so that you're not transfering a pre-enchanted helm, but a consumable - accomplishes the same objective without using the same base for people to craft on.

This would also revive it's appeal as much of the PoE community dislike running it mindlessly without getting the enchant they need.

Either make it as rare as an exalt or sell them for a divine/exalt by a master.

After some thinking I can really see this as a possible option, with one stipulation: The orb is consider a helm, a pair of gloves, and a pair of boots for the purposes of which enchantment pool is pulled from. The chance of an individual enchantment landing on the orb would go down, people would still win the lottery one certain enchantments, just everything could be on an orb instead of fixed pieces of gear.

That is exacly what i was thinking about. I didn't bother to write it down, because i assumed my point was absolutely obvious.

There IS a market for enchats. Its just not comfortable to use, because not in every case you need a most "popular" base. It will change absolutely nothing in the values of enchants, and it won't hurt the market of high lvl helmets - they would still be needed for crafting.

It will make enchanting process more player friendly and less stressful.
