Movement skill suggestion

Could movement skills like Leap Slam (well, really just Leap Slam) all default to ground targeting as opposed to targeting a unit? I know that the left trigger allows for leaping out of a pack, but it’s a bit clunky to work a trigger press in when you’re in the middle of an intense boss fight. Swapping functionalities (L trigger to target, ground/max range target otherwise) makes more sense to me given Leap Slam’s typical use (proccing Fortify off of the aoe or just jumping around a map).

Interested to hear other players’ thoughts on this.

If you get a low response, it's probably because the topic has been brought up multiple times before rather than a lack of interest. I guess one question that might be interesting to know the answer to is: did the Devs make Leap Slam function this way in order to help or to hinder (cough, challenge) the players?
I now comment in Forums with my Xbox account:

Yes, I realized shortly after posting. Hopefully the number of requests will at least bring this to the devs’ attention. Seems like a pretty simple QoL deal to me; I personally think it’s doubtful that it’s a challenge/intentional design element considering Leap Slam’s relative ease of use on PC. A few other skills could use adjustments or complete overhauls given the limitations that a controller imposes (Tornado Shot springs to mind; it’s borderline unusable due to extreme inconsistency on Xbox), so I’m hoping this will be more of a priority in general for the devs assigned to the Xbox release in future patches.
