Why isn't Arcane Surge working with Eldritch Battery?

I know, you don't expand "mana" per se, because you use ES (Or life if you use BM). Still I find, if I expend my resource for casting I should get the buff. Thoughts?

Doesn't matter what you 'find', your opinion or feelings are not interchangable with or equivilent to facts and logic. Arcane surge does not specify spending any generic 'resource' to activate, it requires spending a very specific resource. That means using life via blood magic or ES via Eldritch Battery does not spend the resource it specifies and correctly does not activate the Arcane Surge. If you want to make a thread in Suggestions that arcane surge should just say 'spend resources' instead of 'spend mana', then go at it, and honestly, I would'nt be opposed to the change, but it's absolutely not functioning incorrectly atm.
