Graphical Artifacts While Playing
Since 3.1 Dropped I have been getting on occasion weird screen artifacts while playing. Any idea what I can do to solve this. A few people in my guild are having the same issue.

" I, also, have hit a lighting glitch, and I'm pretty sure you can't do better than an NVIDIA 1080 Ti right now. So ... I wouldn't rush so fast to blaming hardware for this. " When you hit this, say /bug in chat, and post a screenshot showing the bug report number that gives back. That helps GGG reproduce the exact same map layout, which can in turn help them reproduce the issue - IF it is a lighting or terrain geometry bug. It could also be a hardware or driver problem; bvanharjr is not entirely wrong. This is the sort of thing you get from a failing video card, which screws up the geometry or lighting because it is busted, as well as when the game gives it the wrong information and it perfectly displays it. Anyway, reporting to GGG with the bug number means they can test it and, if it is their problem, fix it. On your side, check the hardware is healthy and working correctly, just in case. It probably is, though. Dernière édition par SlippyCheeze#7036, le 21 déc. 2017 à 15:15:57

" The problem might be in cooling system of Your GPU and vram installed on it also in software. Artifacts are in 98% caused by oveheating memory on graphic card 1% of not enought power supply (but those tned to end in C restart or shutting off) and 1% software issues (for example changing GPU from AMD to NVidia without reinstalling OS). " I think you have to give at minimum one percent to "lighting or terrain bug"; you can get similar effects from those. Mine was a spot in the lower prison where the light beams became rather solid due to brightness, and went back to what they should be when you moved. Hence the "use /bug for GGG" advice. |
