[2.6] Theorycrafted WIP Poison Nova Gladiator

This guide is not for the illiterate :). It is not complete. It is not quite ready for 2.6 because of incoming skill tree changes. Feedback is very much appreciated.
Introduction
With the reveal of the new league I couldn't possibly stop my mind from not theory crafting. The last build I made was a CWC Bladefall Necro Tank that was inspired by the aegis cwc chaos build somewhere and it was really enjoyable. Now I want to do something similar and this is it.
Ascendancy
1st - Painforged 2nd - Versatile Combatant 3rd - Outmatch and Outlast 4th - Violent Retaliation 3rd and 4th is up to you which one to get. Why Gladiator? Since Ring of Steel makes Ethereal Knives fire in a Nova, you want to take advantage of it and be in the middle of all the monsters casting EK. I had considered Deadeye and Assassin beforehand, but Assassin would require me to go crit and DeadEye is kind of just pseudo aoe and more double dipping proj dmg. I didn't want to use crit strikes gem so no crit. Deadeye well...I just wanted a defensive class. That said, Gladiator does provide decent offensive bonuses. With Violent retaliation and Outmatch and outlast.

Variations
If you decide to use the Red Trail, I recommend consider getting Iron Reflexes and Frenzy Charges.
Gear
---Required--- Ring of Steel ---Would Be A Nice Boost--- Cospri's Will The Red Trail The Anvil Atziri's Step ---Weapon--- You have two choices here. Advancing Fortress or Sai with Essence of Delirium. ---The Rest--- All rares. I recommend evasion because we scale evasion.
Gem
EK- Controlled Destruction - Added Chaos- Void Manipulation/Poison(If you don't have Cospri's Will) - Spell Echo - Faster Projectiles/Pierce/Slower Projectiles Enduring Cry Fortify-Faster Attacks - Whirling Blades CWDT- Tempest Shield - Stone Golem Blasphemy- Grace/TempChains/ArcticArmor/Enfeeble/Vulnerability/Warlord's Mark Faster Casting - Spell Totem - Wither The rest is up to you. Reckoning, Vaal Lightning Trap is a good idea.

---Recommended--- 1 Life Flask Atziri's Promise Basalt ---Optional--- Witchfire/Sin's Rebirth/Vinktar's/Jade/Stibnite/Granite/Onslaught
Defenses
