"Not connected to Steam" ???

So hello . I was playing and i decided to install a loot filter. Looked up the web found NeverSink's lootfilter and did what the readme said. Then i can no longer run the game. Client runs but authentication fails. When i click "Login" i delays about 15-20 seconds than says "Not connected to Steam". Tried other games in my library (steam is running while i get the above mentioned message) and they all run perfectly with no issues. Deleted all the files that i paste-ed in my PoE documents floder and still i get the same error "Not connected to Steam". Did i brick my game and have to reinstall/download the game or it can be fixed some other way.

If you don't have a POE login (you play through a linked Steam account only) then there's no POE for you.

This is unacceptable behavior. How/why would they design a login system for this game that relies on TWO services to function?

Steam has to be up (which is pretty stable to be honest) as well as POE. Obviously is POE is down you can't play either way but ALSO requiring Steam to be up can fuck you... case in point.

You can e-mail support to create normal login info for your steam-based PoE account. After that you can log into the game via either Steam or the standalone client, aka steam doesn't have to be up for you to be able to play.

Now now no need to be rude :) Christmas is comming. Just do as i did -> go to the shop, buy a ton of junk food and make a movie night :)
