Minion block WITHOUT Necromantic Aegis ? Is this possible ?

Hey,

What's happening if I *don't* use Necromantic Aegis and still socket a "Minions have 2% Chance to Block" jewel ?

Will my zombies benefit from the 2% block chance although they don't benefit from my shield stats ?

Yes, minion block sources grant generic block chance, not 'additional block chance with X' that requires you to have a base of the right type.

You do realize that Bone Offering also gives Minions Block, right?

you could always take necro aegis and not use a shield if minion block is that important to you

frankly necro aegis is in quite possibly the most annoying spot on the tree for summoners and is generally not worth it

since its not on the same side as any of the other summoner passives ..

Gravepact is kinda close (5 extra travel nodes to Necromantic Aegis), as is Grave Intentions (4 extra travel nodes). There's the Leadership cluster right next to it too, which is also useful for summoners. And ES users can take the Foresight cluster to further benefit from pathing into the middle part.

I forgot the name of it but there is also a unique helm that gives a whole heap of defensive minion stats

Skullhead, the low level unique I used more than Tabula.

Thank you all for your answers !

Extra question :

When a jewel or an item (like Skullhead) says "Minions have x% Chance to Block", does it mean minions can block attacks ? spells ? both ?

Whenever the game says just 'block' it means attack block.
