Deadly Rivalry V prophecy with Xandro Blooddrinker is impossible
Deadly Rivalry V prophecy spawns an exile with powerful shrine buff.
In my case it was Xandro Blooddrinker (groundslam marauder) with that 3-arrow icon above his head (buff was named Soul Eater, along with tormented spirit one). Couldn't even scratch him as my evasion TS ranger, mostly because his damage was too high. Wiki states that he has resolute technique, so he completely negates evasion which is my main defense. Luckily, that happened in The Harvest not in a map, so I was porting to the town like every 2min for flask refill just to survive while trying to kite him, but got almost no moments to deal damage anyway because he was running almost as fast and groundslamming like 20 times per second. Tried ballista spam (>10k tooltip dps) and using trap with puncture, but he was still at full HP, maybe because of regen or leech from ballista. So is this prophecy intended to be impossible for many evasion builds? Or did I miss some trick? Evasion and armor flasks are useless for that. I guess this prophecy will be showing up again and again? So if is will catch me inside a map I will be screwed? Dernier bump le 31 juil. 2016 à 18:02:29

Soul Eater is not a joke. If you kill a nearby enemy, he gets stronger. It sounds like you kited him near tons of enemies and killed them, turning him into Superman. My advice is not to do that next time.
You also want to boost your damage, since a decent bow build should have just mashed him right away when they're that far above zone level. You currently have a crit build with a bow that only has a 6% crit chance and no Increased Critical Strikes gem. Once you can afford to upgrade to decent gear, he'll be much easier. |

I haven't played prophecy but I do know this: rogue exiles are easy to kill.
10k DPS should be able to take him down very quickly. The groundslam guy is especially easy. Use Immortal Call, CWDT + Spell + Knockback, CWDT + Flame Dash (so his damage moves you away from him automatically), Ranged Attack Totem, and so on. |

" Once you get it again: You can go through easy Act 1 areas until it shows up. Reentering an area in which it did not show up does not help - unless maybe if previously another prophecy triggered there. Entering different areas helps. " For a low DPS low survival build in Softcore he is probably the worst one and in no way "especially easy". No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" Looks like this was exactly what happened then. Wiki entry for Soul Eater states that " and Xandro Blooddrinker rogue exile is the one with Life regen. (and maybe my ballistas were also counted as souls for Soul eater when he was destroying them) I just misunderstood that soul eater is the name of three-arrow icon above his head, but it is actually Massive Shrine. Don't know how did he got shrine buff. But I just realized that if I seal that prophecy when it will show up again, it will reset prophecy chain to "deadly rivalry I" with different rogue exile, hopefully without life regen this time. So that crazy guy will not be chasing me in maps like a nightmare:) |

" Deadly Rivalry spawns a small pack of Exiles, all of which have a Bloodline, and one of which also gains a Shrine and a Nemesis modifier, maybe more. They're entirely incomparable to normal Exiles. ------- " Armour is everything but useless! Granite + Basalt will mitigate a whole lot of his Damage potential, making Xandro less likely to Stun you, and he will Leech less Life back. Probably the best way for a bow/Evasion character to handle this malarkey is to off-screen him, a lot. It's tricky though, because he's pretty fast and the Massive Shrine makes his Ground Slam quite big. Using Blink Arrow to get terrain between you and him can give you extra breathing room; it also gives him a target with a lot of Damage Reduction to wail on, which makes his Leech somewhat less potent than it is against you. Might be worth trying Blast Rain or Barrage. They're better single-target Skills, and with Knockback on Crit would be better at maintaining distance between the two of you. |

" Dont think either would work well for a non-pro player in a not-so-good map layout. Barrage is just bad against distant opponents due to arrow spread. And Blast Rain is also difficult to employ (if not facetanking) due to the delayed hits and the need for precision targeting. Using Vulnerability + making him chase into properly linked Puncture traps sounds much better to me. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" Don't seal it. When you kill him, he'll drop a Kintsugi worth a dozen chaos or so. Just fight him in a low level act 1 zone where you can kill him easily. |

Fairly certain Projectile Speed makes Blast Rain come down quicker, just like Rain of Arrows. Namelocking is plenty for Blast Rain :)

" If you can't beat the exile, why not just seal it and sell the prophecy? Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
