Looking for ways to help avoid Bleeding
Alright so I just got rocked by Dominus on Hardcore and from what I can tell it's because of a debuff applied by the rain in phase 2 (Which really caught me off guard because the first time I killed dominus this wasn't a problem)
It seems difficult to find out just exactly what a boss's move is doing to me sometimes... I've been wondering if there is a combat log or something, or how to find out more detail about all boss fights (for eg. how do we know the beam from piety in act 4 is 50% electric 50% phys?) After a little bit of looking stuff up it seems like bleeding is one of the more dangerous effects in the game, and aside from the unique that blocks bleeding I'm wondering what the most practical options would be (flasks.. right?) Might be worth noting that I play hardcore exclusively... That's what keeps everything interesting, isn't it? Dernier bump le 31 juil. 2016 à 10:51:30

" Yes. Flasks with the magic suffix "of Staunching" are practically required for this game. Preferably, put it on a utility (non-Life non-Mana, as those stop their effect when you reach full Life and Mana) flask. Since you play hardcore, you might even want to put it on two flasks! I recommend the Stibnite flask. From memory I think it consumes 10 out of 30 charges on use, which makes it one of the best flasks for maintaining uptime (i.e. not running out). Need game info? " Because people test it, and some numbers are more common. For isntance, it's highly unlikely for GGG to decide a boss does 61.8544% physical and the rest lightning. It makes more sense for it to be 50% phys and 50% lightning. Or 60/40, or 55/45, or something more "even". As for noticing what a boss is doing, it depends on your graphics and FPS. I found with no lag at all it's very easy, especially with a large screen. Playing on my surface, I can't do shit. " Nothing can block bleed since it isn't a hit. Block applies only to hits. Immortal Call and Death's Door (unique boots) render you immune to bleeding. IC by immunity to physical and the boots by a mod specific to bleed. Armor applies only to the initial hit, if there was one. Endurance charges apply to bleed regardless, effectively double dipping since it affects the initial hit and the bleed effect. Flasks do grant immunity to bleeding. But Dominus' rain is NOT bleed, it is a physical degen. Bleed is a degen, but a specific type. Bleed immunity would do nothing to the rain. " Not for me. I'd have less than what I currently have right now. |

" Wow, was that a recent change? I could have sworn the only thing Dominus's blood rain did was add stacks of Corrupting Blood, which is indeed a bleed that is stopped by bleed immunity. I have fond memories of "facetanking" the rain and taking no damage thanks to flasks of Staunching. I guess I could have hallucinated/dreamed that too. Well, in that case, it would be worth noting that the only way to avoid damage from Dominus blood rain would be standing inside his golden bubble. Need game info? Soo.. stacks of 'corrupted blood' are then physical damage over time? which would be reduced by armor?
And yeah about the uniques I used the word 'block' incorrectly but I realize there's the boots with 'immunity' to bleed(and wait.. immunity to physical? I hadn't seen those yet) I've been playing Ranger with high evasion and it does make sense why a physical DoT would be hitting me so hard |

There have been no changes to dominus's rain. It is still corrupting blood, ie, another form of bleed. Staunching flasks OP. Try getting a stibnite with bleed immunity. Makes dominus a joke.

" The rain does not apply any bleed stacks. Those come from his attacks. I know this for a fact because I've only left his prox bubble for short periods of time. Anyways, I heard, back when Dominus was the new fad, that the rain only applied outside the bubble and was a degen. |

just to be clear... a 'degen' is basically the opposite of 'regen' being.. damage over time.. right?

"Rain of Blood: A rain of blood washes on the area, causing players to receive stacks of corrupted blood approximately at the rate of one stack per second. Dominus also casts a large stationary shield around him that protects from the rain."
"Cleave: Cleaves the target adding 2 stacks of corrupted blood per hit." Straight from the poe wiki article about dominus. Dominus applies bleed from both his attacks and rain. That as well as the fact that in my experience using a staunching removes the CB(corrupted blood) stacks. Both bleed from hits and CB are removed by that mod. Immunity from physical comes from Immortal call. For try, for see, and for know. This is a buff Dernière édition par Etherfire#6568, le 31 juil. 2016 à 02:15:49
