Labyrinth strategies and layouts

Perhaps appropriately, I get lost in the labyrinth. I have not made it through even once. Is there a place here that discusses where one actually needs to go and do in each piece of it or what can be ignored? I do know that the various pieces move around and change each time you enter. I get caught up in the killing and clearing. An overview of the sections and a strategy for moving quickly would be most helpful. Thanks.

I always go top right until I find the door to the next area. If its not the one I wanted to go I return and go left, other door are usually near. Entrance to Golden Key area is always close to the golden door. Golden key area is always circular...

Once you do it couple of times you will be able to move through rather quickly.. ofc, depends on what you want to do there, my goal is usually to finish it asap to get my Ascendancy points, with no bother about trinkets, silver thingys, treasure keys and stuff

Can you ignore the keys and side areas if you want and just go straight for the finish?

Gold keys are necessary; all others are skippable if all you need is enchants and/or ascendancy

Thanks. The map link above looks very helpful and will reduce my frustration with how long it takes me to find my way. With that I can probably focus on things other than where I'm going. In any case it looks like that aside from the secret passage access, the outside areas can be skipped.

Well I got successfully the second round fight when I was bumped out to the login screen. :(

But the advice and link made it so much more fun. I'll try again tomorrow.

Oh, speaking of advice:

When there is only one path into the Golden Key room - which is the vast majority of the time - the room is always laid out so you go clockwise. Going counterclockwise just puts you up against the locked shortcut door. After grabbing the key, you continue to go clockwise, and reach a lever that opens that very same locked shortcut door. No backtracking needed!

When there is only one path into a Golden Door room - which is also the vast majority of the time - the route to the Golden Key room is almost always up and to the left of the Golden Door. So no need searching east, south->west, or south of the Door; just hit the door and try to go as much northwest as you can. That has always led me to the Golden Key room with few exceptions, which I think is simply caused by there being 2+ paths into a Golden Door room, but I'm not 100% certain it's a one-to-one relationship.
