"Chance to Blind" -- Spell Totems

I just found this item and I have a couple questions regarding the "Blind" modifiers:



1) If I use Spell Totems that shoot Fireballs, will the "10% chance to Blind" modifier apply to enemies being hit by the Fireballs coming from my Spell Totems?

2) The wand says that gems socketed into that wand are supported by a Level 5 Blind. If I put Raise Zombies in the wand, and my zombies hit enemies, will the Blind apply (I'm guessing not)? Furthermore, if I socket Temporal Chains into the wand, will the level 5 Blind apply to enemies when I cast Temporal Chains on them (I'm guessing another no)?

1) Yes. Any hit will do it, spell or attack, multiprojectile, totem, whatever.
2) Zombies can be supported by the blind gem. They blind enemies when they hit them.
2b) Temporal Chains is a debuff. It doesn't hit anything. Hits do damage.

Actually I just did some testing, and it seems like the hits from my Spell Totem don't trigger 'Blind' at all.

I then tried attacking with my wand, and the "10% chance to blind enemies on hit" seemed to proc just fine. Can someone confirm this?

I had assumed your totem was in the wand. Sorry, reading comprehension failure on my part.

The "10% chance to blind enemies on hit" (as opposed to the "gems are supported by blind") only works on attacks made with the wand. Compare this to the "life gain on hit" intrinsic mod on claws or magical suffixes on weapons. Those likewise do not give you life when you hit something with a spell.
