Question regarding ignite and converted damage.

Hello everyone. I am debating on playing a build with The Consuming Dark and Infernal Mantle. With these 2 items, all of the damage coming from a fire spell such as flame blast would be converted to 100% chaos. Does the chance to ignite take place before the damage conversion or after? Just curious if this would ignite my targets and poison them at the same time. I don't think so but I am not familiar with the game mechanics as some of you.

Good thinking. Statuses will trigger on hit, but you will get a status ailment only if you did the necessary amount of related damage type. In case of fire, 1 damage is enough to get ignite (about as strong as looking at a candle) but you aren't doing even that much with 100% conversion.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Thanks for the confirmation. Back to the skill tree now. :)
Just wondering but...

Regarding the Three Dragons, is ignite caused by Ice Damage, ice damage or fire damage?
