Critical strike chance

Is "increased critical strike chance for spells" the exact same thing as "increased global critical strike chance" if I use spells only? What about "increased critical strike chance"? I noticed that the weapon's implicit crit chance is increased when it has that mod, does it affect spells or skills at all or only the default non-skill attack of the weapon? Also, are spell totems affected by my stats at all or it has its own fixed stat? For example, if I link arc to a spell totem, would it do the same amount of damage, same crit chance, same crit multiplier, same cast speed, etc etc, compared to if I took off all my equips?
Question 1: yes
question 2: when that phrase is on tree, it is Global. When it is on weapon, it is local to the Weapon. Only Attacks use Weapon crit, so if that phrase is on a weapon, it is useless to you if you are 100% pure spellcast.
question 3: totems always confuse me and I forget. But Arc - Spell Totem should be affected by your stats and have the same base damage, crit chance, crit multiplier, base cast speed, as YOU do (with the penalty applied to spell damage and I think cast speed)

On a weapon, the critical strike chance mod is local - it only affects that weapon's crit chance, and won't affect spells (or attacks not made with that weapon). Note, however, that passives with the same wording are global.

Totems use all your stats. Just be careful with minions, because they don't use any of your stats except the ones that explicitly apply to minions.

As I understand it increaesed crit for spells and increased global chance will both affect your spells and in the same way.

However, weapon specific increased crit chance will not affect spells it will affect any attacks delivered using that weapon. Each spell has its own base crit chance which can be found on the wiki.

As for spell totems I haven't played a build using them but I believe that are affected by all your stats but have a reduction in damage/cast speed as a trade off for using the totem rather than casting yourself. So they will do more damage if you are fully geared rather than nekid!

I'm sure there should be more specific answers to the totem questions in a totem build guide though.
