gem mistake

iv only just started to play the game and the only things i know are basic from playing other RPG's. the problem i'm having is that when getting my second gem from a quest i wasn't paying much attention and picked the same gem i took the first time (which was ground slam).

The question i want to know is if there is any way to go back and change it or will there be a point later in the game which i can change the gems freely or will i need to start again?

Gems are items, just like any other item. You can trade them between players or other characters in your account. And no, you can't reverse the quest rewards.

so i could just change it later in the game :) thanks mate i thought i was going to need to start again because i did something stupid lol

If the quest has a gem that you really want, you could always make a new character, rush it to that quest, complete it, pick a reward you want, stash it and get it to your "main" character. There's no need to make a new character your "main" afterwards.

In any case, the first few gems for every class are never that expensive, you can probably get them for an alteration or chromatic orb per gem.

Just continue playing, low level gems drop pretty often from mobs aswell.
