Retiring your League Characters

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on this. How many of you actually play the 3 months league and then 'retire' the character when the new league begins?
Personally, I am new to the game, but I am already bored of Standard league and am eagerly looking forward to the new league on Friday! |

Real men delete any character not in the current HC challenge league.

I'm staying in standard this time, playing the SRS witch I made in Rampage. I think I'm done with the leagues for a while.

I will never play my standard league characters. Ill just accumulate more and more gear as leagues come and go, if I still enjoy the game after the changes.

All my still existing characters started life as challenge league or event characters. Of them, I only continued to play two after the events/leagues ended. Three/four months wasn't long enough for me to hit level 90, so I did this later on in Standard. I also kept playing a HC character that I had created for the Children 1-Week Race.
I don't have much interest in Standard currently (or softcore in general, though that may change), and I may eventually play in the normal HC league mainly, but with the new challenges leagues starting, my next couple characters will be Bloodlines ones. I play mostly self-found, so it doesn't overly matter where I play, but I like the excitement of new leagues and the slightly altered rules. (I also have no developed masters in HC, so working on them in Bloodlines doesn't feel so futile.) | |

At the end of each league I vaal all my best items. This last league I vaaled a perfect 6l shavs and a perfect 6l pledge. Both ripped. Then I delete the toon. Lol its big fun

I save my perm characters to test things out on... Well that's the idea, I didn't do it once during beyond. When I need to make a new character I delete the lowest level standard character. It is kinda fun to come back to the perm hardcore characters after the league ends, respec them and see if they got stronger or weaker.

I have skipped a league but only one,I seem to get drawn in even though I want to play my standard characters.I actually often browse through them and play them a bit to remind me what they were about.Sometimes I upgrade standard characters from league things I found.

Oh, right, and I don't delete my characters usually. Extra slots cost very little, so I keep them around. GGG is kind enough to swap names when asked, so recycling names is possible without deleting anything.
