Stealth essence change? Can't use perfect sorcery with existing inferior + spells

So I have used the perfect essence of sorcery to roll existing plus all spell skills on focii to +3. This worked amazingly well, perhaps too well and as of yesterday is no longer working. I know I did this since 0.31 and can't find any patch notes or announcements regarding this change, did they communicate this? Bought a beast shield with +2 (not fractured ofc) last night and nearly shat when I got stopped on the perfect. Tried some other shields I had and same thing - can't use perfect if there is already a +1 or +2. I JUST made a +3 shield earlier this week without any issues and have like 4 or 5 more since 0.30 all from existing +1/+2.


That said I still managed to dextral annul the +2 and kept the 2 suffixes I wanted and perfected it on anyways, ty rnjeezus.
