Delirium fog still too much
|
As a player who plays mostly instilled maps, I find that the delirium fog effect is straight up diminishing my experience. Yes, SOMETHING should exist to indicate it's a distilled map, but having every map being whitewashed is clearly taking its toll on my eyesight, and now my patience as a player. I find myself running non juiced maps - which goes against my desired play direction - just to see the colors of the normal environments again. Just some feedback that hopefully is taken into account somewhere along the experience pipeline.

Delirium fog needs to have a toggle off option in the settings, or, even better. the fog just appears in the first few seconds, after all, i'm not sure but i think delirious people don't know they are delirious. If you know what i mean ;)

I just wanna preface this with saying I agree 100% with you. I hate delirium fog.
But I've officially lost all hope that they will make any changes to it, despite such a large amount of their playerbase not liking it. I think one potential reason as to why it hasn't really been addressed is because whenever they have an interview with big content creators, none of them ever bring up delirium fog. I'm not sure why, because I don't think anyone particularly enjoys playing a constantly dulled out version of the game. From a streamer's perspective, I'd imagine that viewers would much rather watch them play the game with its original vibrant color palette as opposed to it being on the brink of grayscale mode. The more I think about it, the more confused I get considering the fog adds nothing positive to our gaming experience and only negatives, including a negatively impacted framerate on a game that already struggles with performance issues. I'll never understand but I've given up on understanding. Dernière édition par LargeHairyMan#4219, le 23 oct. 2025 à 12:42:42

Thanks for the additional feedback from the community. It feels good to not feel alone in this. Hopefully GGG addresses this in the future!
I think it would be cool if the map started with the fog, which dissipates as soon as you start, indicating you're running a delirious map, and a subsequent pulse of fog every time you crack open a mirror on the map. Or a toggle option. Lots of ways to address this really, they just need to implement it. |

Most of the big content creators care about things that affect their enjoyment only like build balance but to me thats horribly misplaced priority. Balance is next to impossible with all the possible permutations. Fix the performance of the game.
My idea to remedy the fog is to get rid of it and add a buff indicator on your bar that says you're in a delirium. That would fix the performance issues, the poor visibility and ugly look, and in theory shouldn't be very hard to implement. |

I find it crazy that we are almost a year deep into EA and delirium fog still hasn't been removed
I can only think of two possible explanations: 1) poe1 players are numb to it, and since most streamers are poe1 players, they just shrug it off not realizing how horrible this thing truly is especially for them when people have to watch a screen covered in grey for as long as they're doing maps 2) someone in GGG managed to convince everyone else in the staff that it looks good somehow Dernière édition par iHiems#0168, le 23 oct. 2025 à 16:25:27
