You can now return Placed Memories to your queue. Doing so removes any Memory Modifiers applied to it and destroys the underlying Memory Amplifier if it is placed on one.

this sounds like kind of a solution to some of our concerns about moving memories.

Kind of ... and then there is the next line (I reacted like you first !) :

You can now move Placed Memories in the Memory Nexus. To do so, click on a Memory Stabiliser, then click on a Placed Memory that you wish to connect to your current location.
Moving a Memory which is placed on a Memory Amplifier will destroy the Memory Amplifier.

So .. the actual downside : losing a memory amplifier if there is one, the mods will then stay ...
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

but heres the thing tho ; for most of the players amplifiers are nothing but nuisance. I think thats a feature as a useful trick to get rid of amplifiers.

Which means that there is no real drawback to moving memories around ...
Seems like the system is just getting dumbed down then :(

With this change, each memory modifier will only apply max to 5 tiles and you can only get 5 modifiers on those tiles. Pretty bad when we currently can get the modifier to proliferate on 20+ tiles. With the changes, travelling out to get a modifier will be pretty bad time investment, worth 1/4 the effort if you had just 20 tiles linked and you can have a lot more. I doubt that the global mods are going to be over 4x better than now. Putting more effort in currently rewards you more. With the addition of more caps it will not.

The modifiers themself will get boosted, so that's simply not true. If for instance the 1% div card drop raises up to be a 5% one then it's a buff compared to before.

Also, the ability to choose which tile will be affected by the modifier is another buff, you therefore can max out tiles instead of reaching the global modifier cap in a short while... which weren't very rewarding either without a lot of luck.

Actually there is. Since both 'bad' and 'good' modifiers exist it'll need a bit of thinking required to use them properly.
For instance: Removing the 300% xp modifier in an area emptied out of reward nodes will be a good choice. Doing so while running unmodified low quantity ones though would be bad, the drop-rate is awful without any modifiers anyway, and that's clearly supposed to be the case, giving you a good place to work up a bit of extra xp.

The same counts for many other modifiers, running fragments more often, extra quantity of items, all of those are definitely worthwhile, thinking about the tile to set down there will be fairly important, actually giving those fixed modifiers a useful purpose, unlike before.

Another big upgrade is that all synthesized monster can drop maps, maybe this will actually solve the issue with the abysmal amount of map drops this league, forcing many people to either get lucky with drops, or use a lot of currency just to sustain their tier.
GGG balance is like getting a pizza which is burnt on the sides, raw in the middle and misses the most of the toppings.
Then upon sending it back you get a raw side, burnt middle and enough toppings to drench everything in grease.
Everything fixed but still broken.
So to beat the dead horse, today I noticed a boss node on the synthesis thing. I had the segments to actually go there, so I decided why not.

I got to the boss, died once, died twice (1 shots both, nothing unusual) the boss was at about 25%. Then on the 3rd entry, the game crashed with some message about server and client not being in sync in some regard.

I said, what a great league, lets get back to the boss. Guess what? I could not get back to the boss.

Now I'm not saying that most of the game is designed around not losing too much to crashes, aka 6 map portals and 6 everything portals (even delve makes you lose very little on a crash). This new shit though? No no no, wont it be FUN for the player to lose an entire encounter?

Not to mention that the game seems to be crashing LIKE MAD on returning from alt+tab.

GG GGG. Amazing content. I am very happing for not giving a shit about the game anymore, I would be quite mad with the last few leagues otherwise.

well to prevent that kind of problems i leave a teleport to nexus from boss room.
boss room teleports stays there till memory fades.
its a small trick but usefull at hard times.
