Is Path of Exile the most expensive game you've played?

Nope.
I've only spent 40 dollars.
Spent about 100 for Diablo 3.
Well if you add up every cent I spent supporting GGG over the past two years since closed beta then yeah its by far the most "expensive" game so far.

But if you put it in relation to the time played then it is BY FAR one of the cheapest game I've ever played (besides diablo 2, starcraft, counter strike and left4dead)

When I consider those 50$ I spent on some 5-10h shooters, the 200$ I spent in all those years since closed beta were a really good investment ;-)

I spent more on WoW (played for 1-2 years or something), but PoE comes second. I definetly spent more money than on most other games.
It's definitely the one I gave the most money towards.
The most expensive would be my Age Of Conan Collector's edition, it took my trust.

;-)
Uh, depends how you see it, if we all each Call of Duty title as one game, then PoE was the most expensive with roughly 200€

If you see the whole CoD thing just as expension.. then 20€ + 0 € + 60€ + 47€ + 50€ + 60€ + 60€ + 50€ = 347€ if i counted correctly.

But thats for around 6k-ish hours playtime, definatly worth it.

Im at around 2.6k hours playtime in PoE. I wanted to pay more into this game.. but im not having luck with finding a job atm :P
Not yet.... but it has a high chance to be the most expensive.
d:-D*
10 years of WoW aren't cheap. 8 years worth of subscription + expacs
8 x 12 x 15 + 60 + 50 x 5 =
Wow = $1,750
Path of Exile = $210

Not even close. Not sure PoE will ever catch up if WoW continues to improve as it has in WoD, but who knows.
Yup. By far. My previous big investment was a Founder's package for Flagship Studio's Hellgate:London (before Hanbitsoft).

I have been longing for a game where there are procedurally generated environments, items and random events, complemented by a deep skill system that allows for 'infinite' replayability. The idea of a loosely structured sandbox where you could discover synergies between various aspects of the game mechanics really appeals to me.

After HG:L shut down in 2009, my eyes turned to D3, but the indications from media coverage filled me with trepidation the game would not be 'streamlined', so much as 'dumbed down' for a console release. How prophetic that was...

Anyways, while I was wallowing in despair at the bleak outlook of my PC gaming future, I stumbled across Path of Exile. The game mechanics/design/style/artwork all appealed to me, and I was very fortunate to be extended a closed beta invite very shortly after I registered on the forums. The opportunity to actually collaborate during the closed beta phase of the game was an experience that harkened back a time when betas were an actual phase of game design, and not just another marketing phrase for 'early access'. I am also impressed by the level of communication and responsiveness of the GGG team. Lastly, knowing they are independent developers without the deep pockets and huge marketing department of a publishing house backing them, I figured they could use all the help they can get to keep this game going, so that I may continue to enjoy Path of Exile for years to come.
"We were going to monitor the situation but it was in the wrong aspect ratio."
The most expensive, sure. But I have yet to regret a single € I put into this.
If my post contains typos, blame my phone and my fat fingers.

Conquer Online hands down is probably the most expensive game online in general if you want to get anywhere in the game as this Chinese Company started out years ago with the concept of free to play yet has moved into the realm of pay to win in every aspect of the game over the years. With that said it still has probably the best pvp aspect with large large groups of players all at one time.

You play alot of conquer? i was addicted for 5 years ._. im ashamed to post how much i spent on that game...

Conquer online was the game i spent the most money on and it is also the game where i know 'top players (cmon pay to win)' spend around $300 a week to keep up. My friend spent $10,000 and he got banned in the end :3
What came first Mcdonalds or KFC?
