This is how I imagine it.

I had an argument with someone earlier that had that exact problem.

"Why do I need to work (i.e. look down in the list) to find a party?"
"Should only have games that do quests on the "gameboard""

What it came down to, was that he deems people who use the noticeboard for trading as lazy, after complaing that it was too much work to look for his games (the irony), he considered it "spam", didn't consider trading games to be "games" and he never understood the meaning of "public party".

It's like talking to a brick wall.

I don't think "look harder" is a good solution to this, because if the game grows in popularity, then it will just be more and more obnoxious to find a party...

We really just need some sort of solution to trading so that people don't feel the need to do such things.

Just use option to " Type ur word to refine results" ....... Then it result "less horrible".

According to GGG there is a forum trade system in the works (it's been said a dozen times), so I'm not sure why these threads keep appearing. Until said system is in place, I suggest that the few people bothered by it to just deal with it and look a little harder, yes.

i will say that i think the original intention of this thread was extreme sarcasm, not whining =p

people demanding it come a little faster is good and healthy. keeps GGG knowing what is important, and what is not. helps them keep their priorities in straight.

trading is a big deal.

Right. Because NOBODY will keep abusing the parts tab from this point on. I give it less than a minute. ;)

Go spam your "wts" page of assy yellows in Global Chat 1 time, and watch how fast a dev is on your ass. This tab thing is actually a decent idea.

I seriously can't believe people defend or excuse this.

Turning the parties list into a spam filled garbage dump isn't a good thing for anyone.

I understand why the players are doing it, still doesn't make it a desirable thing. I can't imagine GGG looks at that and goes, "Ah yes, things are working perfect!"

Hopefully whatever improved trading mechanisms they are implementing will help this issue.

I certainly don't mind people using the noticeboard for trading. Trading games have as much right to exist as any "questing" game does. It's hardly costing anyone effort to find a game that you want still.

I can't believe that people are having such a hard time and are claiming that they have to put so much effort into finding a game.

It is a party that does trading. Did the same thing in D2.

yes but because of those guys its reallyreally hard to find ppl to play with. when i entered merciless in open beta i was like wtf.

Do you see that small input field above all the listings? If you are looking for people to run let´s say Docks with, how fucking hard is it, to use that given field to type "DOCK" in it to FILTER them?

I guess that goes over the head of most...
