GGG Please fix Lightning Mirage
It spawns inside you without a giving a clue and 1 shots you.
give it a sound indicator or make it not spawn inside you like what u did with volatile flame-blood and elemental\physical thorns. It is totally bad design form you side. There is a difference between a game that is designed to be hard and a game that is hard because it is badly designed like POE. Please don't tell me to play the Lag-immune and Brain-dead cookie cutter builds that an ape could play afk mashing 2 buttons and succeed. What the point of all those classes, passive nodes, skill gems and item choices if it boils down to just playing the only 3-4 viable Lag-immune and Brain-dead cookie cutter builds ? This, or please remove the XP death penalty, or change it so that you lose only from the XP you gained while doing the map you died in. GGG want us to feel the pain. This and other one-shot-mechanics are just unfair game-design.

Today I was extremely unlucky and have died 4 times for all the wrong possible reasons: 2 Deaths to invisible lightning mirage, I spam Quartz flask and when I phase my character looks exactly like the lightning mirage model so when they spawn inside me there is no way I can tell they spawned especially when they don't even have a sound effect. 1 Death to sudden unexpected lag spike. 1 Death to rare desync. Current XP penalty is Anti-Progressive and need to be redone ASAP. Not all of us are no life neckbeards and good for nothing weirdos. Made it so that XP penalty is deducted from the XP gained in current map of death, not from progress done and earned from past maps and runs. Reduce the portals count too if you want but please change the current XP penalty it is anti-progressive and not a good design. I completely lost motivation to play POE today after I lost my past weekend progress to bad luck and bad design. Last weekend I enjoyed playing POE so much and making that, now lost, %40 progress because I didn't face todays bad luck and bad design cases. Again please don't tell to play a no brainer Ape tolerant build, I enjoy my current build and the dynamic dodge, hit and run + occasional 1-2 hit tanking style. |

This definitely needs a sound effect. Whenever in a huge melee, I've taken to moving around every 1-2 seconds just in case something spawns with the lightning mirage mod.
I've not died to this other than the first 2-3 times, and I have absolutely no clue how this mechanic works. But it needs a sound effect and it needs a clear visual indication of when its about to blow up (rising its hands for 0.25 seconds is not enough). A lot of builds need to stay at one place to do damage. Forcing those builds to move out of paranoia is just retarded game design. “We are the race of flesh, We are the race of lovers.”

Is anyone in this thread using a Topaz Flask, a high level Purity of lightning or something similar to mitigate lightning damage?

Mirages are fine. Died once in ~600 maps to one. Evasion build, 75% res, 5k life, melee.
All Izaro attacks are dodgeable. Death penalty needs to be changed to 15% or let exp be negative. Probably second is better, so i wouldn't need to consider getting levelup before trying HOGM or something. |
