I have a question though. What does that mean when the guide says "[20/20]" or "[20/00]" in the gem level category? Why is there 2 different numbers?

I have two cleave builds that can do maps to 15. Both do anywhere from 130k-200k+ dps. Both are great fun. They can be seen under my profile.

Banjo_Dancer: Glad with Rigwald's sword and ax
Random_de_Perez: Slayer with Wings of Entropy (Atziri's disfavor is a backup)

For both, their trees could probably be tweaked to reflect changes. Both can do uber lab and Mr. Banjo has done normal Atziri just fine. If I were a more attentive player, I think both could do t-16.

20/20 means the gem is 20 quality and level 20. 20/00 is likely level 20 and 00 quality; ready for an upgrade to 20 Q.

Haven't played for about 3 years so I have forgotten a lot of the lingo..

I don't know how I could contribute to this thread since I'm getting a bit tipsy now :). Melee as in proper melee is tough to do. Look at the Shaper fight as an example. I did some Shaper fights with a flicker-striker and you basically have to do a 180 on how you fight it. Shaper's laser beam phase means I can't flicker and when he's chucking the basketballs is when you do your DPS. Sort of the opposite when it's DPS during the laser and then mechanically dodge after that. Right? Every other build I've done has been like that.

Hell in a HC setting I can't imagine it. Those unturned guys in between shaper fights vomit those balls which makes it impossible to flicker for more than just a few moments beforehand. Since you're a melee character you have virtually no reaction time for when those balls start flying and for you to react, leap away, and hopefully recover. So basically I'm burning a good 2-3 portals because it's insta-kill.

"Melee" skills like lacerate and sunder are fun though. I especially like lacerate because it's a non-laggy skill. I feel like more of the game is smooth on my CPU when I'm on my lacerate guy. Just having that physical buffer between your character and a hard boss makes a world of difference.

I should probably add that cheap, melee, and face roll don't go hand-in-hand. "Pick 2" so to speak.

ngamau's flame is already down to 5c, and tmrw it will probably be 3c.
i bought mine 1 off perfect yesterday for 17c.

i use cyclone on 4l for clear, and 6L molten strike (buy emperor of purity cards for cheap 6L). just got my 6L today.

i build raider because its very much a big evasion tank. right now im sitting at 86% evasion and 40% dodge and 30% spell dodge. everything is easy as pie. you can check my char for tree and such. seriously its ridiculously powerful and cheap. this char will easily take on red maps and can kill shaper/elder without issue. haven't tried uber elder, and im not good enough for uber atziri (but it can be done im sure of it).

so lets say ngamahu's is 5c. you're looking at 5c for weap, 28c for 6L, lets say 5c for every other piece with decent life and to cap res. lets say 10c for chaos spam half decent stats on chest, and another uhhh...20c in order to 6s your ngamahu's.
in total for all end game everything you're looking at 98c. lets round it up to 100c. this is basically top end stuff. entry level i'd say you're looking at 10c. red tier faceroll is about 100c. epic super min/max can be pretty high, like 5000c.

in order to epic min/max faceroll you'd need 6L belly of the beast, xoph's blood, and good essence of insanity gripped gloves for your cyclone setup. so the room to grow is there, but as i say to get it started you're looking at 10c worth of gear. 100c for end game viable
